General Information
The Health Care Agency registers all births and deaths occurring in Orange County. Birth and Death Registration provides certified copies of birth and death certificates within the first 60 days after an event. For more information, call: (714) 480-6700
Copies of birth and death certificates requested more than 60 days after an event may be obtained from the Orange County Clerk-Recorder Department.
Fees
Effective January 1, 2012, the fee for a certified copy increases by $2 for birth ($19 to $21), death ($12 to $14), and fetal death ($9 to $11) certificates as required by AB 1053 (Gordon, Chapter 402, Statutes of 2011).
