June 29, 2015  Assessor Delivers 2015-16 Local Assessment Roll of ValuesThe Assessor has delivered the 2015-16 Local Assessment Roll of Values, which is 5.89%, or $27.7 billion more than last year (2014-15). Each of Orange County's 34 cities and the unincorporated areas had a year-to-year increase in net taxable value. Value changes are reflecting the Orange County real estate markets that show continued appreciation in property values this year and the restoration of values previously reduced under Proposition 8 decline in market value provisions.

June 23, 2015  Supervisors Approve Balanced FY 2015-16 BudgetThe Orange County Board of Supervisors approved a $5.8 billion spending plan for the coming fiscal year—July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016—including $723 million in General Purpose revenue, of which $687 million is available for discretionary programs.
