| | Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health (MCAH)
The Family Planning clinics provide reproductive health services to women and men. Women may receive the following services at low or no cost:
- A basic health assessment
- Pregnancy test
- Pelvic exam and cervical cancer screening
- Breast exam
- Birth control method (most methods are available)
- Emergency contraception
- Other tests, as needed (blood tests for anemia, and for sexually transmitted infections, etc.), and medication treatment for problems identified
- Education and counseling about birth control methods or planning a pregnancy
- Referrals for other services
Who’s Eligible?
Clinic services are available to all women who:
- Are at risk of unintended pregnancy or need assistance to become pregnant and
- Do not have health insurance or Medi-Cal and
- Are eligible based on their monthly income
