APHNS provides free basic health screening, education, and referrals to adults at senior/community centers throughout Orange County. These free services are offered by registered nurses (RN’s) who are certified in Public Health Nursing. No medical treatment is provided and if treatment is required, referrals and coordination of care with providers is made available. APHNS can help you identify health problems early, find needed health care, social services, and learn preventive health practices to stay healthy. The Public Health Nurses also provide group education on such topics as chronic disease self-management, medication management, diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, and depression.
