(Anaheim) - The causes, consequences and treatment of depression in older adults will be discussed at a free community education program Wednesday, November 29 from 11 a.m.-12 Noon at the Anaheim Senior Center, 250 E. Center St., Anaheim.

The program entitled "Depression in Older Adults" will not only look at the prevalence and symptoms of depression but will also cover ways to treat and overcome depression including available medications and the development of coping skills. Those interested may also complete a depression screening form and time will be available to answer questions from the audience.

Speakers will include registered pharmacist Dan Ketchum, registered nurse Lori Funke and Marc Fabiano, a licensed clinical social worker. The program is sponsored by the Anaheim Senior Center, Orange County Health Care Agency Older Adult Services and Preventive Health Care for the Aging (PHCA).
