(Brea) - Brea area senior citizens will have a convenient opportunity to consult with a pharmacist and a nurse about their current medications at a "Brown Bag Day" event Thursday, May 24 at the Brea Senior Center, 500 S. Sievers.

The free consultations, which take approximately 45 minutes, will be offered by appointment between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. on May 24. To schedule an appointment, please call the Brea Senior Center at (714) 990-7750. Participants should bring all of their prescription medications, over the counter drugs, herbal products and vitamins. A pharmacist and nurse will answer questions about possible side effects as well as the best way to take medications to improve their effectiveness. Participants will also be asked to fill out a brief medical history form before their consultation.

The "Brown Bag Day" event is sponsored by the Brea Senior Center, County of Orange Health Care Agency Older Adult Services and Preventive Health Care for the Aging (PHCA).
