HIV Planning Council
HIV Planning and Coordination

The Council, established in 1987, provides advice and makes recommendations to the County Health Officer regarding HIV policy issues, and serves as the Ryan White Title I Planning Council, the Ryan White Title II CARE Consortium, and the advisory body to the City of Santa Ana for the expenditure of HOPWA (Housing Opportunities for Persons Living With AIDS) funds. Members are appointed by the Orange County Board of Supervisors. The Council conducts a periodic needs assessment to determine the service needs of PLWHs (persons living with HIV). The Council prioritizes the HIV service needs of the community and allocates funds to each.

Council meetings are usually held on the second Wednesday of each month. Buffet begins at 5:30 p.m.; the meeting is from 6 - 8 p.m. and is located at 1400 S. Grand Avenue, Santa Ana (Main Conference Room), CA. To confirm meeting date and time, call (714) 834-8711.
