CALWorks Public Health
Nursing
Specialized Public Health Nursing Program CALWorks Public Health Nurses provide assessment of medical
barriers, health education, and health resource development to
CalWorks clients and their families upon referral from Social
Service Agency staff. Referrals can also come via
multi-disciplinary meetings held to assist the client to
self-sufficiency by examining present barriers to their active
participation.
