Meet the Behavioral Health Advisory Board Members
Composition of Board Members:
One (1) shall be a member of the Board of Supervisors and 14 members shall be appointed by the Board of Supervisors. Seven (7) members shall be consumers, parents, spouses, siblings or adult children of consumers who are receiving/have received mental health services. Seven (7) members shall be experienced/knowledgeable of the mental health system or be public interest.
**BOARD COMPOSITION SHOULD REPRESENT AND REFLECT THE DIVERSITY OF THE COUNTY AS A WHOLE, TO THE EXTENT POSSIBLE. **

How to Become a Member of the Orange County Behavioral Health Advisory Board
Volunteers requirements include:
- Must be available to attend two (2) monthly meetings, on the second Wednesday of each month from 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. and the fourth Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.
- Must reside in Orange County
- May not work for the County of Orange.
- May not work for a contracted agency/provider of Behavioral Health Services, unless you identify as a person in recovery. (See bylaws for additional details.)
- Must be a direct consumer of behavioral health services, family member, behavioral health professional, or have public interest in County’s behavioral health services.
