Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health (MCAH)

The Family Planning clinics provide reproductive health services to women and men.  Women may receive the following services at low or no cost:

  • A basic health assessment
  • Pregnancy test
  • Pelvic exam and cervical cancer screening
  • Breast exam
  • Birth control method (most methods are available)
  • Emergency contraception
  • Other tests, as needed (blood tests for anemia, and for sexually transmitted infections, etc.), and medication treatment for problems identified
  • Education and counseling about birth control methods or planning a pregnancy
  • Referrals for other services

Who’s Eligible?

Clinic services are available to all women who:

  • Are at risk of unintended pregnancy or need assistance to become pregnant and
  • Do not have health insurance or Medi-Cal and
  • Are eligible based on their monthly income
