About Refugee Health Services

The Refugee Health Services Program provides culturally and linguistically appropriate comprehensive health assessments to newly arrived refugees, asylees, victims of trafficking, and other eligible entrants. The components of the health assessment include: screening and treating for communicable diseases; identifying chronic diseases and other important medical conditions; assessing immunization status for children and adults; providing mental health screening; and referring clients with significant medical and/or mental health conditions to health providers for additional evaluation, treatment, and follow-up.
