Cultural Competency Training is a mandatory annual requirement for all County staff and all Contracted Providers.
County Staff
County staff must complete one of the two approved Relias courses available through Eureka:
Contracted Providers
Providers may complete any recognized Cultural Competence Training, including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Minority Health Think Cultural Health program, which is now available again.
Any training selected must include the following three (3) criteria:
The training must address a broad range of cultural competencies applicable to the Orange County behavioral health population. It must not focus on only one target population (e.g., youth, immigrant communities, or a single ethnic group).
