Our Community Counseling and Supportive Services (CCSS) are designed to serve residents of all ages who have limited or no access to behavioral health services, and mild to moderate mental health needs.
The program is especially geared toward the uninsured or underinsured, those with a history of family or domestic violence and/or early childhood trauma, as well as residents who are Spanish speaking. We also have specialized expertise working with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex or Questioning (LGBTIQ) community, and the important people in their lives.
CCSS is designed to help participants address early symptoms of depression, anxiety, alcohol and/or drug use, as well as suicidal thoughts, violence, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), as well as the confusion, isolation, grief and loss, high-risk behaviors, self-esteem challenges, victimization by bullying, trauma, homelessness, and lack of familial support frequently experienced by individuals identifying as LGBTIQ.
CCSS participants may be referred by family resource centers, medical offices, community-based organizations, and County programs, or they can self-refer.
