Composition of Board Members:
One (1) shall be a member of the Board of Supervisors and 14 members shall be appointed by the Board of Supervisors. Seven (7) members shall be consumers, parents, spouses, siblings or adult children of consumers who are receiving/have received mental health services. Seven (7) members shall be experienced/knowledgeable of the mental health system or be public interest.

How to Become a Member of the Orange County Behavioral Health Advisory Board
Volunteers requirements include:
- Must be available to attend two (2) monthly meetings, on the second Tuesday of each month from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and the fourth Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.
- Must reside in Orange County
- May not work for the County or a contracted agency/provider of Mental Health and Recovery Services.
- Must be a direct consumer of mental health and recovery services, family member, behavioral health professional, or have public interest in County’s mental health and recovery services.
