BHTS Contracted Providers:

  • Crisis Intervention Training (CIT)
    Western Youth Services is partnering with NAMI OC to provide CIT trainings at no cost to Orange County Law Enforcement and First Responders.   • Recovering Education Institute (REI)
    REI serves adult participants, eighteen (18) years of age and older and currently receiving services with OCHCA's behavioral health system and their family members. REI provides trainings on basic life skills, career management and academic preparedness; also offers certificate programs to solidify the personal and academic skills necessary to work in mental health field.
  • Behavioral Health Training Collaborative (BHTC)
    BHTC provides mental health trainings that reduce stigma and supports a greater understanding of mental illness in the community.  The goal is to provide behavioral health training services to community members utilizing in-person and online instruction to reach a broad range of audience.

  • Mental Health First Aid (Adult and Youth)
    MHFA teaches how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. For more information about our upcoming trainings, please email
  • Spirituality
    In an effort to provide culturally relevant and competent mental health and recovery services, BHTS provides ongoing trainings with a focus on integrating spirituality in behavioral health. In addition to the trainings, BHTS hosts a bi-annual Spirituality Conference, bringing together clinicians, consumers, clergy and members from the faith-based communities.
  • Disability Benefits and Employment Training Unit

    Our Behavioral Health Training Services (BHTS) Disability Benefits and Employment Trainings Unit provides trainings, resources, consultation, support and encouragement to Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) Beneficiaries and Plan Coordinators.

    This unit is designed to assist clients in making their best decisions, in order to maximize benefits, maintain wellness and independence. Our expertise covers a range of services including: 

    - SSI and SSDI Work Incentive Rules
    - Ticket To Work
    - Reporting and Overpayment
    - Medi-Cal/Medicare- Housing
