Children and Youth Services Outpatient Clinics
At Children and Youth Services (CYS) Outpatient Clinics, we're here to help kids and teens feel better when they're going through a tough time. Our clinics offer a range of services to support their mental health needs.
We start by assessing how they're feeling. This means we talk with them to understand what's going on and how we can help. We want to make sure they feel comfortable and safe sharing their thoughts and feelings with us.
Once we understand what they need, we provide treatment tailored to their unique situation. This could involve talking with a therapist, doing activities that help them express themselves, or learning new coping skills to deal with challenges.
For those who require medication as part of their treatment, we carefully monitor how they're doing with it. We want to ensure that the medication is helping them and not causing any unwanted side effects.
Additionally, we coordinate their care with other people who are involved in their lives, like teachers, doctors, or family members. This helps us create a plan that works best for them and ensures everyone is on the same page.
We also offer group and family support. Kids and teens can connect with others who may be going through similar experiences, and sometimes their family members can join too. This creates a supportive environment where they can share their feelings and learn from one another.
Our clinics are open to children and youth from newborns up to 21 years old. We're dedicated to providing a safe and welcoming space where they can get the support they need to thrive.
