To enhance the work environment, continue to provide quality services, and implement the required annual cultural competence training, Behavioral Health Service (BHS) will utilize the University of Washington (UW) Medicine: Harborview Behavioral Health Institute’s Cultural Humility in Behavioral Health Care Training.
The Cultural Competence Training (CCT) helps us continue to foster a culturally responsive and inclusive environment for the communities we serve. Please click on the link below for a step-by-step guide to ensure proper completion. Two (2) certificates are required to receive full credit, so make sure to complete each step thoroughly.
At a glance, Steps to Completion for Cultural Competence Training (CCT)
- Register for the training through the official platform
- Confirm your Canvas account access (check your email for confirmation from Canvas Catalog)
- Start the training modules at your convenience
- Complete the comprehension test at the end of the training
- Fill out the University of Washington (UW) Evaluation and download your UW Certificate
- Complete the HCA Evaluation and download your HCA Certificate
- Email the HCA certificate to your supervisor - this final step confirms your training completion.
