We offer a variety of supports for families in acute need, families impacted by pregnancy and mood disorders, children with behavioral issues impacting school readiness, families that have been reported to Child Protective Services, children who have experienced abuse or neglect, and children who are entering the Foster Care system.
Parent Wellness Counseling Services (OCPPW)
The Orange County Parent Wellness Program supports families with children under 18, including parents affected by pregnancy or the birth of a child within the past 12 months, families that have been reported to Child Protective Services for allegations of child abuse or neglect, or families with a young child, age 0 and 8 years, who are exhibiting behavioral symptoms that may negatively impact their readiness for school. Services include family screening and needs assessments, clinical case management, individual counseling, family collateral services, parent education, psycho-educational support groups, referrals and links to community resources, and also community education on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
Continuing Care Placement Unit (CCPU) / Foster Youth
Children and youth who have been placed in Foster Care receive consultation, treatment, and intensive case management from Children and Youth Behavioral Health County staff. They are referred by Social Services Agency staff. Services are available in English and Spanish.
