December 6, 2021 Body The Omicron variant continues to spread and has now been identified in over 50 countries, and in 17 states within the US. No Omicron cases have been detected, at this time, in Orange County. The Delta variant continues to be the predominant variant of SARS-CoV-2 identified in the US. Available data continues to support the use of existing mitigation measures (vaccination, including boosters, masking, testing, and hand washing) against the Omicron variant.
